University of Virginia
The University of Virginia is a public, flagship research university. The University of Virginia or UVA was established in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson and is located on internationally protected grounds in Charlottesville. A World Heritage Site, UVA has historical heavy-hitters names like James Madison and James Monroe written all over its campus’ founding. University of Connecticut
Established in 1881, the University of Connecticut is located in Storrs, Connecticut. It is a public, flagship, land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant research university. It is designated as a High Research Activity university. The University of Connecticut, commonly called UConn is also listed as one of the Public Ivies. University of Florida
The University of Florida is a public, land-grant, sea-grant, space-grant research university. University of Massachusetts Amherst
University of Massachusetts Amherst was established in 1863 and is a flagship, public, and land-grant institution. A member of the Five College Consortium, it is New England’s biggest public university with more than 29,000 students and 1,200 faculty and staff. Between 9 colleges the University of Massachusetts Amherst or UMass offers degrees in over 200 programs. Tulane University
Tulane University is a private research university. Founded in 1834 as a medical college, Tulane is in Uptown New Orleans on iconic St. Charles Avenue.
